CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre strap match official for WWE Bash in Berlin
A SummerSlam rematch with a stipulation is set for the August 31 WWE Bash in Berlin event.
As officially announced during Monday’s WWE Raw, CM Punk will take on Drew McIntyre at Bash in Berlin in a strap match.
Punk announced in a promo on Monday’s Raw that he had petitioned GM Adam Pearce for the contest and that the bout had been finalized for the Saturday, August 31 Bash in Berlin PLE. McIntyre appeared during Punk’s promo segment and accepted the challenge.
McIntyre and Punk met at SummerSlam earlier this month in Cleveland with McIntyre scoring the victory in a match where Seth Rollins served as special guest referee.
Four matches are official for Bash in Berlin set for Saturday, August 31. The main card will stream at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Peacock/WWE Network. The announced lineup so far:
- Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defends against Kevin Owens
- WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther defends against Randy Orton
- Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan vs. Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley
- Strap match: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
