CM Punk thanks fans, praises crew after WWE Holiday Tour

CM Punk is thankful for every fan who attended WWE’s Christmas week house shows.

In a post to his Instagram stories on Monday, Punk reflected on the past four days of Holiday Tour house shows. He thanked the fans and praised the entire WWE crew — except for taking an in-character shot at heel Dominik Mysterio.

“New York, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Chicago. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket to see us,” Punk wrote. “Chicago. What can I say? I love you with all my heart. Been over ten years since I was able to wrestle in what I will always call the Rosemont Horizon. It is my privilege. Two million dollar houses, on our way to a third in Houston. Proud of everyone on the crew who worked hard and made it all possible except little [Dominik] Mysterio who is a greasy twat.”

Punk challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Sunday’s event in Rosemont, Illinois, losing after Dominik interfered and slammed the cage door onto Punk’s head.

WWE is at the Toyota Center in Houston tonight for the final Raw episode on USA Network. Both Punk and Seth Rollins are set to appear on the show, building up their grudge match that will headline Raw’s Netflix premiere next week.

Also tonight, the SmackDown crew is in Detroit for its last house show on the Holiday Tour.
