CM Punk says he is going to write a book someday

CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins

CM Punk has had a long and illustrious career and one day, he plans on writing all about it.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Friday, Punk said he is “going to write a book someday and I don’t know when. I’m just going to tell stories.”

Punk will be part of the 30-man Royal Rumble match Saturday in Indianapolis, Indiana, which he said will take place exactly a year from when he had surgery on his torn right triceps he suffered in last year’s Rumble match.

He was asked about the rumors of his wife AJ Lee being part of the women’s Royal Rumble which he no-sold as best he could.

Punk was also asked about John Cena’s final run and said he felt spoiled to be a witness to whatever journey he’s about to embark on and is “selfishly hoping: the two of them share will share a moment during Saturday’s Rumble match.

He continued to effuse praise for being in WWE at this point in his life and sharing moments with wrestlers he has known and worked with for years like Rey Mysterio Jr. and R-Truth.

He was asked about his thoughts on the WWE/TNA relationship which he said is an example of how Paul “Triple H” Levesque is receptive to other people’s ideas which was different than how Vince McMahon ran it.

“The best idea always wins in today’s WWE,” he said, adding that he doesn’t like to talk about the current positive vibes in the company because he’s been in places where people say things are great but they really hate each other and it’s super cliquey.

Punk wasn’t asked about AEW which McAfee referred to in passing as “the elite place” before moving on.
