CM Punk, Randy Orton appearances set for WWE Raw
CM Punk and Randy Orton are both set for Raw.
During SmackDown, a commercial aired announcing that CM Punk would have a message for Drew McIntyre on Monday’s show in Sunrise, Florida. Randy Orton was also announced for Monday’s show ahead of his title match against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Bash in Berlin later this month.
Orton and Gunther met face-to-face on the most recent episode of Raw to talk about their upcoming match. Gunther accused Orton of wasting all of his talent, saying it was a new era, the era of The Ring General. Orton eventually said he appreciated Gunther’s opinion but he’s done good for himself.
Drew McIntyre’s music then hit as he made his way to the ring. The distraction allowed Orton to hit the RKO on Gunther. As McIntyre was about to enter the ring, Punk arrived and attacked McIntyre with a strap, whipping him until McIntyre made his exit through the crowd.
