In his first WWE appearance since walking out of the company in 2014, Punk showed up at the end of Survivor Series on Saturday night. Punk’s WWE return happened less than three months after his AEW contract was terminated with cause following a backstage incident that took place at All In.
Punk appeared after the conclusion of the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. Orton, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn defeated Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh & Drew McIntyre in WarGames.
There was an angle after Survivor Series went off the air where Rollins was flipping off Punk and had to be held back from going after him.
WarGames was Orton’s first match since May 2022. He underwent double fusion surgery last year while battling a career-threatening back injury.
