CM Punk appearance set for next week’s WWE Raw

CM Punk will make his return to Raw next week.

Although Punk didn’t appear during Monday’s Raw, it was announced that Punk would be appearing both on Friday’s SmackDown and next week’s Raw in Cleveland, Ohio. Announcers pushed that he was a free agent, and both Raw and SmackDown were looking to sign him exclusively to their brand.

In a segment backstage, Raw GM Adam Pearce told Seth Rollins that Punk was coming next week, and he is intent on signing Punk to Raw. Rollins told Pearce that he didn’t care, telling Pearce to do what he needed to do.

A match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Cody Rhodes will also take place. Nakamura on Monday’s Raw said he attacked Rhodes because he himself never finished his own story. He told Rhodes that they had similar stories, as both won the Royal Rumble only to lose at WrestleMania. Once the video finished, Rhodes said they were nothing alike and said he wouldn’t respect Nakamura unless they faced each other in the ring.

Here’s the lineup for next week’s Raw:

  • CM Punk returns
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
