Chicago area to host WWE Survivor Series 2019

Following last night’s pay-per-view, the location for Survivor Series 2019 has been revealed.

WWE announced via the Chicago Tribune that next year’s Survivor Series PPV will take place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on November 24. This will be the first time the Chicago area has hosted Survivor Series since 1989.

“WWE is so proud of our relationship with our fans in Chicago,” WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events John Saboor said. “Allstate Arena, going back to when it was known as Rosemont Horizon, has been such an important partner of WWE, dating back to the ’80s.”

With SmackDown moving to Fox, there will be a change to how WWE structures its “Big Four” weekends starting with Survivor Series 2019. The Allstate Arena will host four straight nights of shows, but they will begin with the go-home episode of SmackDown on Friday, November 22. NXT TakeOver will take place at the venue on November 23 and Monday Night Raw will be held on November 25.

All of WWE’s “Big Four” events for 2019 have now been announced. Royal Rumble weekend is set for Phoenix, Arizona in January, WrestleMania 35 weekend will be in the New York/New Jersey area in April, and Toronto, Ontario, Canada hosts SummerSlam weekend in August.
