Report: Chad Gable injured, set for surgery

Multiple reports state that Chad Gable is injured and will require surgery.

Gable confronted Penta backstage on WWE Raw this week, and the segment ended with Penta giving him his signature arm-breaker. According to reports, this may have been done to write Gable off television.

Earlier this week, BodySlam.net reported that Gable is legitimately injured, although the exact nature of the injury is not known. On Wednesday, PWInsider reported that Gable is scheduled to undergo shoulder surgery in early July. There is no timetable for his return.

Unfortunately, Fightful followed up by noting that El Grande Americano, a masked wrestler who some allege is Gable, is also injured and expected to be out for the exact same length of time. Americano is the current WWE Speed Champion and last wrestled at the June 17 Speed taping in a win over Berto. Gable’s most recent match as Chad Gable was a loss to AJ Styles on the June 9 episode of Raw.
