Brock Lesnar given storyline suspension on WWE SmackDown

Brock Lesnar has been given a storyline indefinite suspension for his actions on tonight’s post-Crown Jewel edition of SmackDown.
Lesnar was suspended for attacking WWE officials and damaging a camera while beating down Roman Reigns and The Usos at the start of tonight’s SmackDown. After WWE authority figure Adam Pearce announced that he was suspending Lesnar indefinitely, Lesnar came back down to the ring and gave Pearce two F5s.
Going into tonight’s SmackDown, WWE hyped that Lesnar had said he was going to beat Reigns senseless the moment Lesnar arrived at the show. Reigns retained his Universal Championship against Lesnar at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on Thursday after hitting Lesnar with the Universal title belt. The Usos also interfered during the closing stretch of the match.
Paul Heyman threw the Universal title belt into the ring after a ref bump during Reigns vs. Lesnar at Crown Jewel, but it wasn’t clear who Heyman was telling to use the title. It landed between Reigns and Lesnar.
Reigns kicked off tonight’s show and called out Lesnar after the threat that Lesnar had issued to him.
Tonight’s SmackDown was the first show where WWE’s post-draft rosters were in effect. Lesnar wasn’t part of the draft due to being a “free agent” who can appear on both Raw and SmackDown.
Lesnar is advertised for January’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
