Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena WWE title match set for SmackDown

After Bray Wyatt’s WWE Championship win at Elimination Chamber, the only thing that stood in the way of the official announcement of his WrestleMania match against Randy Orton was clearing up some loose ends on television.

One of those will be cleared on Tuesday night as Wyatt defends the WWE Championship against John Cena on SmackDown. The match was announced on Monday night during commercials that aired on Raw and by WWE on Twitter.

Wyatt won the title from Cena in an Elimination Chamber match in the main event of Sunday’s pay-per-view after eliminating both Cena and AJ Styles at the end of the match.

Though there are still seven episodes of SmackDown before WrestleMania, the build to WWE’s biggest show of the year should pick up steam on Tuesday night now that Elimination Chamber is out of the way.

Cena’s direction for WrestleMania should become apparent in the coming weeks, with WWE seemingly already starting the early build to the Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse mixed tag team match that Dave Meltzer has reported on in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
