Bray Wyatt returns to the ring at WWE house show

Despite being injured in a car accident last Friday, Bray Wyatt is already back in the ring.

Wyatt returned one week after the accident took place. He teamed with Matt Hardy at tonight’s Raw-brand house show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where they retained their Tag Team titles against The B-Team (Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas) and Titus Worldwide (Titus O’Neil & Apollo Crews) in a triple threat match.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Wyatt was scheduled to be evaluated today to see whether or not he’d be able to return on the show.

WWE announced this Monday that Wyatt suffered “multiple injuries” in a car accident on June 29 while traveling to the airport for that weekend’s house shows. The report from the accident noted that Wyatt was cited for “careless driving due to his failure to operate his vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.” Three cars were involved, with Wyatt smashing into the car in front of him and forcing that driver to veer left and hit another vehicle.

Wyatt was released from Tampa General Hospital after being transported there by ambulance but wasn’t on Monday’s Raw. He’ll be teaming with Hardy at Extreme Rules on July 15 as they defend their titles against Axel & Dallas.
