Braun Strowman gives update on recovery after WWE Raw injury

WWE star Braun Strowman is staying active outside of the ring despite currently being sidelined with an injury.

Strowman suffered a torn groin while facing Bronson Reed in a Last Monster Standing match on the September 30 episode of Raw. While he recovers from the injury, Strowman represented WWE as an honorary starter at a NASCAR playoff race in Las Vegas over the weekend. He was interviewed by The Schmo at the race and gave an update on how he’s feeling.

“Well, they call me the Monster of All Monsters for a reason [laughs],” Strowman responded when asked how he is walking around after tearing his groin. “Nah, it’s unfortunate, but that’s part of the thing. We know we’re not signing up for water polo or ballet, so, you know, things happen in our sport and the show goes on. So you got to suck it up and get-r-done. I’ve been off the last couple weeks. I’m rehabbing, got to head back here in a second and fly back to Orlando to our facility. Get some more rehab this week and then next week, we’re in Hershey, PA. And then we head over to Saudi Arabia for a big one [Crown Jewel].”

Strowman tore his groin shortly after the Last Monster Standing bout began but was still able to finish the match. He got the win when Seth Rollins returned to cost Reed the match.

Rey Mysterio was also an honorary starter at the Las Vegas NASCAR event. He and Strowman were promoting that WrestleMania 41 tickets are set to go on sale later this week.

Las Vegas is hosting WrestleMania 41 on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20, 2025.
