Blake Monroe turns against Jordynne Grace at WWE Evolution
Blake Monroe has cost Jordynne Grace the NXT Women’s Championship.
The end of the match at Sunday’s PLE had Jacy Jayne’s stablemates introduce the Women’s Championship into the match. Blake Monroe managed to take out Fallon Henley then Jazmyn Nyx. Henley recovered and distracted the referee on the apron as Jayne whipped Grace into the ropes. That was where Monroe struck Grace in the back with the title, allowing Jayne to connect with a punch for the win.
After the match, Monroe handed the title to Jayne and smirked at Fatal Influence as she made her exit.
Grace reacted to the turn on X, clearly unhappy.
Since making her debut last month, the former Mariah May had been feuding with Fatal Influence, who attacked Monroe during her contract signing. At Saturday’s The Great American Bash, she and Grace teamed up to defeat Jayne and Henley. In the build to their match, Grace & Monroe developed a friendship, enjoying a spa day together.
In a segment that aired during the Evolution pre-show, Monroe agreed to be in Grace’s corner for her title match.
