Bianca Belair to face Sasha Banks on WWE SmackDown

A match that was originally supposed to take place at SummerSlam is set for tonight’s SmackDown.
WWE has announced that Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks will take place on SmackDown tonight. The show, which is being held at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, is the first night of the WWE Draft.
Belair defeated Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 night one this April. They were scheduled to have a rematch at SummerSlam, but it was announced that Banks wouldn’t be able to compete. Becky Lynch instead made her surprise return and defeated Belair in 26 seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s title.
Banks returned during Lynch and Belair SmackDown Women’s Championship match at Extreme Rules. She attacked Belair, causing the match to end in a disqualification. Banks also beat down Lynch and laid out both Belair and Lynch with backstabbers.
Lynch will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Belair and Banks in a triple threat match at Crown Jewel on Thursday, October 21.
In addition to Belair vs. Banks and the start of the WWE Draft, tonight’s SmackDown will feature the return of Edge. It will be the first time Edge has appeared since the angle where he was stretchered out after Seth Rollins hit a stomp to his neck during their match on SmackDown three weeks ago. Rollins threatened to go find Edge if he didn’t show up tonight.
