Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks miss another WWE live event

For the second straight night, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks did not appear at a WWE live event.

Again citing “unforeseen circumstances,” their absence was announced to the crowd at Sunday’s show in Columbia, South Carolina. Both missed Saturday’s event in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the same unforeseen circumstances cited as the reason.

Belair and Banks are scheduled for the SmackDown Women’s title match at Saturday’s SummerSlam event at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, a rematch of their main event from night one of WrestleMania 37 this past April. Belair defeated Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s title in that match. She has held the title ever since.

Belair and Banks also won ESPN’s ESPY Award for Best WWE Moment on Saturday, July 10.

Banks went on a WWE hiatus following the WrestleMania, match, returning on the July 30 episode of SmackDown. She teamed with, then turned on Belair in her return to set up the SummerSlam rematch.
