Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey not currently planned for WWE WrestleMania 39

A match WWE once hoped would take place at WrestleMania is no longer in the works.
In February, it was reported that WWE was hopeful to have Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey headline one night of WrestleMania 39. However, our own Dave Meltzer noted on Friday’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the match is “not the plan right now.”
Meltzer said:
Right now, [Lynch vs. Rousey] is not the plan. Things change, like we said.
I dont’ know what Ronda’s match is or Becky’s match but as of today, as of this morning, it was said to me it is very unlikely, and another person who is very well-connected said, ‘I heard it’s dead’ and I asked and it’s not dead because nothing’s dead in WWE, somebody could get hurt and…but definitely not the plan right now.

Meltzer also addressed the possibility of WWE creating a new world title so both Raw and SmackDown would have a champion.
There is absolutely talk of creating a new title, yes. It’s been a year. The mentality was always that it’s each brand should have a title but I think this year, above and beyond everything, this entire year was all about getting Roman Reigns over and trying to get him to that John Cena level to where he is this big attraction.
In the long term, I think they want Raw and SmackDown to each have titles.
