Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair title match to kick off WWE Raw

The Raw Women’s Championship will be on the line to kick off tonight’s episode of Raw.

WWE has announced that Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship will be opening tonight’s Raw. The show is taking place at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

When a WWE Championship match between Big E and Bobby Lashley kicked off an episode of Raw in September, it ended in a no contest and built to them facing off in a steel cage match for the title later in the show.

This will be the third time Belair has challenged Lynch for a title since Lynch defeated her in less than 30 seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. Their SmackDown Women’s Championship match at September’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view was declared a no contest when Sasha Banks got involved. Lynch then defeated Belair and Banks in a triple threat match to retain the title at Crown Jewel in October.

Lynch got the win at Crown Jewel by rolling up Banks and holding onto the ropes for leverage. Belair had hit the KOD on Lynch leading into the finish, but Banks stopped Belair from going for the pin.

Lynch became Raw Women’s Champion when she and Charlotte Flair exchanged titles after they changed brands in the WWE Draft.

Lynch cut a promo on last week’s Raw saying that she was moving on from Belair, but Belair interrupted her and wanted another title shot. A brawl between Lynch and Belair led to their Raw Women’s Championship match being announced for tonight’s show.

Also on tonight’s Raw, WWE will follow up on Seth Rollins becoming the number one contender to Big E’s WWE Championship. Rollins was set up as Big E’s next challenger when he defeated Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and Rey Mysterio in a fatal four-way ladder match last Monday. WWE hasn’t announced when Rollins will be getting his title shot.
