Becky Lynch says she has two months left on her WWE contract

While she’s currently in the midst of a book tour and WrestleMania season, WWE star Becky Lynch also has a contract situation to take care of soon.

Lynch appeared as a guest on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani on Wednesday. During the appearance, Lynch revealed that she’s in the final two months of her current contract with WWE. Lynch said talks about a contract renewal have not begun yet.

Though Lynch mostly played coy when Helwani asked about her contract, she said she doubts this is her last WrestleMania. Lynch is challenging Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40.

Helwani asked if Lynch is able to talk to non-WWE promotions:

Helwani: Can you talk to others?

Lynch: Ahhh…I’m WWE.

Helwani: So it’s either WWE or bust?

Lynch: Yeah, I just don’t know.

Helwani also asked if Lynch feels disrespected that she doesn’t have a new deal in front of her yet:

Lynch: At this stage in the game, contrary to a lot of the thoughts in this book of where I was coming up, I am so confident in my ability and my worth. Nah, I’m not worried.

Lynch’s memoir, “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” was released on March 26.

Lynch told Helwani that she thinks her match against Ripley will be part of the card for night one of WrestleMania 40. Lynch has said that she wants her match to open the show.

Seth Rollins, Lynch’s husband, also has his WWE contract coming up soon. Rollins’ contract is reportedly set to expire this June.
