Becky Lynch never wants to leave WWE: ‘It’s my home’

Becky Lynch has no plans of ever leaving WWE for another promotion.
In an interview with Strutting From Gorilla to promote WWE’s upcoming Holiday Tour house show in Boston, Lynch confirmed that WWE is where she wants to end her career. Lynch said she loves WWE and loves that she’s been an important part of changing women’s wrestling forever.
Lynch said she feels listened to in WWE. She loves the people in the company and the WWE fans:
Oh yeah, absolutely [WWE is where she wants to end her career]. Absolutely. Absolutely. Look, growing up, WWE is what I watched, it’s what I loved, it is the reason I became a professional wrestler. Now having been in it, I love it. I love it. I love the people. I love the audience. And I love being able to have been an important part of change. And I love that I get to continue to drive that and that my voice matters in WWE. I feel listened to, and I feel like we have been able to change the landscape of women’s wrestling forever. And that feels very special to me. It’s my home. It’s where I really was — kind of where I was born as a professional wrestler in many ways in terms of my influence, and it’s where I’ll retire.
Lynch was part of the first-ever women’s match to main event WrestleMania, defeating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
Currently, Lynch is feuding with Nia Jax in WWE. They’re set to face off on the Day 1 edition of Raw on January 1. It will be the first time Lynch and Jax have faced each other one-on-one.
During their feud, Lynch has said that she still owes Jax a receipt for when Jax broke Lynch’s nose and bloodied her face in 2018.
Lynch told Strutting From Gorilla that her goal after facing Jax is to take the Women’s World Championship from Rhea Ripley.
Lynch’s memoir, titled “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” is set to be released on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
WWE’s Holiday Tour event in Boston is taking place at TD Garden on Wednesday, December 27.
