Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair swap WWE Women’s title belts

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have completed their Women’s Championship exchange.

In the main event segment of tonight’s SmackDown, Lynch and Charlotte swapped their respective Women’s title belts. Lynch is now Raw Women’s Champion, while Charlotte is now SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Lynch was drafted to Raw and Charlotte was drafted to SmackDown earlier this month, leaving the Women’s Championships in a situation that needed to be resolved.

During tonight’s SmackDown, WWE teased whether or not Lynch and Charlotte would actually go through with the title swap. Authority figure Sonya Deville joined them in the ring for the exchange. After Lynch and Charlotte swapped titles, Charlotte challenged Lynch to a winner-take-all title match tonight. But before Lynch could answer, Sasha Banks made her way out to confront Charlotte.

Lynch left Charlotte and Banks, telling them that she’s going to Raw and will see one of them at Survivor Series. Banks then got the better of a brawl with Charlotte until it was broken up.

Banks remained on SmackDown in the WWE Draft.

Lynch’s final title defense as SmackDown Women’s Champion was at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. She defeated Banks and Bianca Belair in a triple threat match. This Monday, a Raw Women’s Championship match between Charlotte and Belair ended in a disqualification when Charlotte used a steel chair.

The New Day and The Street Profits also swapped the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team titles when they changed brands in the 2020 WWE Draft.
