Aleister Black to face Cesaro at WWE Extreme Rules

After weeks of asking someone to pick a fight with him, Aleister Black has his next opponent.

On tonight’s SmackDown, Black vs. Cesaro was announced for Extreme Rules. The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is hosting the pay-per-view on Sunday.

The storyline of Black challenging someone to pick a fight with him led to him getting a knock on his door two weeks ago. Last week, it was revealed that there was no one there when he went to answer. Black applauded the person who knocked and said they’re now fighting on a spiritual level.

WWE hyped that Black’s opponent for Extreme Rules would be announced on SmackDown this week. At first it was said that Black’s opponent was choosing to not disclose their identity yet, but it was then revealed to be Cesaro.

Here’s the updated card for Extreme Rules:

  • The Undertaker & Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre in a no holds barred match
  • Universal Champion Seth Rollins & Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defending against Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans in an extreme rules match (winners-take-all stipulation with both titles on the line)
