Aiden English joining 205 Live commentary team through WM season

There will be a new voice on the 205 Live commentary team for at least the next several weeks.
WWE has announced that Aiden English will be joining 205 Live “as a guest commentator through WrestleMania season.” He’ll be starting in the role tonight and will be calling the show alongside Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph. Percy Watson had been on commentary with McGuinness and Joseph.
It was noted that English will still be wrestling on SmackDown despite his new role.
“We wanted to do something special for WrestleMania season, and Royal Rumble week kicks off the Road to WrestleMania,” Michael Cole told WWE.com. “We’ve been working with Aiden at the WWE Performance Center to see if he has the chops, and it turns out he’s pretty good.”
205 Live has returned to airing live after SmackDown on Tuesdays. Kalisto vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Hideo Itami is set for tonight’s episode, which is the go-home show for the Royal Rumble. Buddy Murphy will defend his Cruiserweight Championship against Kalisto, Tozawa, and Itami in a fatal four-way match at Sunday’s pay-per-view.
