MJF and Bryan Danielson continue their build for Revolution: Wrestling Observer Radio

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the MJF/Bryan Danielson segment that took place on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
The segment had MJF interrupt Danielson to talk about how he had how he had been abandoned by everyone he loved until he found one person who he proposed to, only for her to break up with him. Both Meltzer and Alvarez on Thursday’s show wondered if it was true, as MJF has used moments in his personal life in promos, though some of the details have been embellished or changed.
MJF told Danielson that he hated him because he has a wife, family, and children, yet despite having serious injuries in the past, continues to wrestle and thus loves wrestling more than his family. After MJF went into the camera and spoke directly to Danielson’s children despite Danielson warning him not to do so, MJF entered the ring where the two ended up in a pull-apart brawl. Alvarez thought that Danielson had waited too long to attack MJF.
“Danielson has to stand in the ring while MJF is giving a message to his children by name!” Alvarez exclaimed. “Bro, I would have ran out of the ring and beaten the s*** out of this guy.”
In the end, both thought it was a good angle to hype their upcoming 60-minute Iron Man match at AEW Revolution on March 5.
“I thought it was a great angle, actually,” Meltzer said. Alvarez called it an “excellent go-home angle.”
“Absolutely,” Meltzer said. “It’s been well built, but I think this really drove it home. This was really good business, I thought.”
