UFC on ESPN 62 live results: Jared Cannonier vs. Caio Borralho

Action inside the Octagon returns to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for the final August UFC event with UFC on ESPN 62.

In the main event, it will be a five-round bout at middleweight as former title challenger Jared Cannonier battles Caio Borralho. Cannonier makes a quick turnaround after suffering a loss to Nassourdine Imavov in June, while Borralho looks to remain undefeated as a member of the UFC roster.

The rest of the main card features several UFC veterans as Angela Hill battles Tabatha Ricci in a women’s strawweight bout; Neil Magny looks to add to his UFC welterweight wins record when he takes on undefeated Michael Morales; and Edmen Shahbazyan meets Gerald Meerschaert in a middleweight bout.

The main card also features the finals of The Ultimate Fighter’s 32nd season as Robert Valentin meets Ryan Loder in the middleweight final, and Kaan Ofli takes on Mairon Santos in the featherweight final.

*A fight between Zygimantas Ramaska and Nathan Fletcher, scheduled for the prelims, has been scratched from the card due to medical issues for Fletcher.

Loder gets a takedown right away. Valentin looks for a triangle choke but Loder escapes. They tried to scramble but Loder ends up in side control. He looks for a choke but Valentin scrambles to the back of Loder. They continue to scramble. Valentin looks for a rear-naked choke and Loder is trying to punch his way out. Valentin lets go. Valentin looks for it again but lets go. Loder scrambles to inside the guard of Valentin. They trade punches on the mat. Loder keeps top position for the rest of the round. Close round. 10-9 Loder.

Loder gets the body lock and gets it down. They scramble and Loder ends up in side control. Loder with some punches and elbows from the crucifix position. He continues to land from there and Valentin is warned to fight back but Loder continues to land and it is stopped. Impressive finish from Loder.
