UFC on ESPN 47 live results: Marvin Vettori vs. Jared Cannonier

Former middleweight title challengers Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier square off in the five-round main event at Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 47 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Vettori is currently ranked third at 185 pounds and is coming off a win over Roman Dolidze in March, while Cannonier is ranked fourth and is coming off a win over Sean Strickland in December.

Also on the main card is eighth-ranked lightweight Arman Tsarukyan taking on Joaquim Silva in the co-main event in addition to Armen Petrosyan vs. Christian Leroy Duncan, Pat Sabatini vs. Lucas Almeida, and Nicolas Dalby vs. Muslim Salikhov.

Pauga pressing forward with the jab and lands a right hand that made Bukauskas stumble. Pauga then gets a takedown and is working inside the guard. Pauga lands an elbow from the top. They get to their feet and break to the center. Bukauskas lands a leg kick. They clinch against the fence. Pauga trying hard for the underhooks and to get a takedown as he has advantage against the fence, but they separate. Bukauskas lands a jab. He lands another. Bukauskas lands a left hook to the body. They trade right hands. Bukauskas lands a right hand that has Pauga backing up. Bukauskas lands another hard right hand. They trade at the end. 10-9 Bukauskas.

> Bantamweights- Dan Argueta (9-1, 1-1 UFC) vs. Ronnie Lawrence (8-2, 2-1 UFC)

Argueta pushes it against the fence right away and is able to get the takedown and the back. He’s trying to get the hooks in. They scramble and Argueta ends up in the half-guard. He works to the neck and has a guillotine choke locked in. Lawrence is pushing the hips but still in danger. Argueta loses his grip but still has the neck. He gets a mounted guillotine choke locked in and Lawrence appeared to tap once and the fight is stopped. Replay shows that Keith Peterson touched Lawrence’s arm to see if he was still out and it kind of forced a tap motion and it was stopped, so we’re going to a replay here.

> Women’s Flyweights- Tereza Bleda (6-1, 0-1 UFC) vs. Gabriella Fernandes (8-2, 0-1 UFC)

They trade kicks early on. Bleda looks for a takedown but Fernandes defends against the fence. Bleda landing kicks looking to close the distance. They trade kicks. Fernandes lands a kick and Bleda catches it and gets a takedown despite a fence grab from Fernandes. Bleda in the half-mount and landing right hands. Bleda continuing to land from the top as she’s attacking the head and body. She ends the round on top. 10-9 Bleda.

They clinch against the fence as Bleda is working for the takedown. Bleda gets the takedown and is working inside the guard of Fernandes against the fence. Fernandes throws her legs up looking for a triangle choke as Bleda is defending, and Bleda gets back into the full guard. Bleda ends the round on top landing punches. 10-9 Bleda, 20-18 Bleda.

Both throwing but neither really landing to start the third. Fernandes lands a couple of left hands as Bleda is backed against the fence. Fernandes lands some more punches then a knee. Fernandes still landing the left hand as Bleda circles away. Bleda is able to score a takedown. Bleda being dominant from the top as she continues to land punches after getting the full mount. Bondar lands a leg kick. Bondar lands a nice combo. Bondar lands an overhand right as they tie up. Hernandez lands a knee in the clinch. They separate. Bondar lands a body kick. Bondar lands another big body kick. Hernandez lands a body kick and they trade inside the pocket. Hernandez lands a combo. Bondar lands a leg kick and Hernandez lands a counter combo. Bondar with another leg kick. Hernandez lands a combo in close range and scores with a knee. They tie up and Hernandez lands a left hand. Hernandez lands a combo at the end. 10-9 Hernandez.

They trade leg kicks to start the third. Bondar pressing forward but neither doing a lot. Bondar lands a combo after Hernandez landed to the body. Hernandez starting to land more as the round goes on. Hernandez lands a nice right hand. Bondar is able to score a takedown but Hernandez works his way right back up. Hernandez with a combo and lands a head kick followed by a big knee. They trade in close range and Hernandez scores a takedown. They get back up and both are landing. Hernandez gets a takedown and starts landing big elbows and Bondar is out the fight is stopped with one second to go! What a finish from Hernandez!

We have some controversy here as they’re looking at a replay for a clash of heads but it happened during a throw takedown, which often happens. It shouldn’t be called a clash of heads as it’s a legal wrestling throw. This will be interesting. It shouldn’t be overturned. They are counting it as a clash of heads and are going to the scorecards instead of giving Hernandez the TKO win.

They trade to start. Kang lands a leg kick. Kang lands a right hand. Quinonez lands some punches. Quinonez then lands an uppercut that hurts Kang, but then Kang drops Quinonez with a punch. Quinonez looks for the leg. Kang is on top landing and then takes the back. He locks in a rear-naked choke and gets Quinonez to tap. Great finish from Kang there.

Torres then drops Motta with an elbow after throwing a flurry and Motta is out cold! He was out cold when Torres landed two follow-up hammerfists. What a brutal knockout from Torres!

Sabatini gets the body lock right away and pushes it against the fence. Sabatini gets a trip takedown and is in the half-guard. Sabatini lands some punches from the top. He continues to land left hands from the half-guard position. Sabatini continuing to dominate from the top. Sabatini gets the full mount and lands some big elbows and now is landing some big punches.
