Brock Lesnar responds to apparent USADA violation

In a statement to the Associated Press on Friday, Brock Lesnar responded to news that he had been flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping violation by saying, “We will get to the bottom of this.”

He also confirmed that he had passed five other tests since announcing his return to mixed martial arts for a fight with Mark Hunt at UFC 200. In addition, the AP obtained written copies of the letters from USADA to Lesnar confirming three tests that he’d successfully passed.

Neither USADA nor Lesnar would confirm the substance which caused the test failure.

As noted yesterday, the WWE also released a statement on Friday saying that Lesnar is under contract with their organization, but has not competed since April 3rd of this year and is not scheduled to perform again until Sunday August 21st at SummerSlam.

In related news, Mark Hunt has been vocal on social media about the apparent test failure. He initially told MMAFighting.com that he wants either half of Lesnar’s record-breaking UFC 200 purse or to be released from his contract. But he later tweeted that he now wants all of Lesnar’s purse.
