Queen Aminata vs. Serena Deeb official for ROH Women’s Pure title tournament

The first match in the ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament has been revealed.

During a segment on this week’s television, Lexy Nair hosted a sit-down interview with Queen Aminata and Serena Deeb. Nair revealed the new championship and announced that the two will compete against one another in the opening round of the tournament to crown the first-ever champion.

Deeb talked about her binder of 1,001 holds and said this championship was created for her. Deeb said she offered the binder to Aminata, but she threw it back in her face. She promised to stretch Aminata.

Aminata said she doesn’t have 20 years of experience but every time she wrestles, she learns and gets better. She told Deeb to be careful what she wishes for as she may know more than Deeb thinks.

The title was first announced and revealed by Tony Khan last week prior to a ROH television taping.

Although Deeb mentioned Supercard of Honor during her promo, it wasn’t made explicitly clear when the two will meet. ROH’s next pay per view, which will see the finals of the tournament, takes place on May 2 in Atlantic City.
