AEW announces CMLL stars for ROH taping in Springfield
Several stars from CMLL have been announced for AEW/ROH’s upcoming show in Springfield, Massachusetts.
AEW will present a live episode of Collision on Saturday, April 12 from the MassMutual Center, with additional matches being taped for future episodes of Ring of Honor on HonorClub. Two matches have been confirmed: Atlantis Jr., Esfinge & Fuego vs. Bárbaro Cavernario, Zandokan Jr. & Euforia in a trios match, and La Catalina vs. Taya Valkyrie in singles action.
Valkyrie debuted for CMLL last month, teaming with Lady Frost to win a tournament for the vacant CMLL Women’s World Tag Team titles. The belts had been vacated by previous champions Lluvia & Tessa Blanchard in October, following Blanchard’s return to TNA Wrestling. Valkyrie and Frost later dropped the titles on March 21 to La Jarochita & Lluvia, wrestling as Las Chicas Indomables. She was previously a top star and four-time Reina de Reinas Champion with CMLL’s rival promotion, AAA, from 2012 to 2021.
