Zack Sabre Jr. is set to make his GCW debut next month.

The promotion revealed on Friday that ZSJ will wrestle on its Brooklyn: Fight Night show scheduled for May 11. His opponent has yet to be announced.

Already confirmed for the show are GCW Champion Masha Slamovich, Matt Cardona, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Alex Coughlin and Tony Deppen.

The 35-year-old is coming off a successful defense of his NJPW World Television Championship at Sakura Genesis. He defeated Shota Umino on the show. Umino had eliminated ZSJ from the New Japan Cup last month.

Umino vs. ZSJ at Sakura Genesis was given a star rating of 4 and 1/4 by Dave Meltzer, the same rating their New Japan Cup match got less than a month earlier.

ZSJ is scheduled to defend his belt on Saturday at NJPW Capital Collision against our own “Filthy” Tom Lawlor. Lawlor and Team Filthy will then face ZSJ and other members of TMDK the following night at Collision in Philadelphia.
