Two new champions crowned at NWA 74

Two new champions were crowned tonight at NWA 74.

Cyon defeated Jax Dane to win the NWA National Heavyweight title, while La Rebellion won the vacant NWA World Tag Team titles.

The finish of the National Heavyweight title match saw Cyon pin Dane after Dane missed a clothesline and walked into a Death Valley Driver. The announcers pushed after the match that Cyon now holds the same championship as his father, which in storyline is Austin Idol. Dane held the title for 161 days, defeating Anthony Mayweather (Crimson) back on March 20 of this year.

The NWA World Tag Team Championship match was changed after it was announced that the titles were now vacant after Davey Boy Smith Jr. was injured and unable to defend the championship on Saturday’s show. Hawx Aerie (PJ and Luke Hawx) replaced Smith and Doug Williams against La Rebellion. The finish of the match had Damian 666, who accompanied Mecha Wolf and Bestia 666 to the ring, spray mist in the face of Luke Hawx, who was eventually pinned by Bestia.

Other championship matches held tonight included Homicide retaining the NWA Light Heavyweight title against Kerry Morton and Kamille retaining the NWA Women’s Championship against Taya Valkyrie in the main event.
