Thursday ratings: MLW Fightland, Impact, Dark Side of the Ring

Three wrestling-related shows aired last night on cable, but only one made it to the top 150 rated shows of the night.
According to Showbuzz Daily, Dark Side of the Ring on Vice this week scored 137,000 viewers, with 63,000 (0.05) in the 18-49 demographic. It was the only show out of the three to rank in the top 150 cable shows of the night, placing at 116. This week’s show was on Johnny K-9, a Smoky Mountain Wrestling star who later became known for his ties to organized crime.
The show was up from last week’s record low of 126,000 (51,000 18-49) viewers, which was an episode that focused on Astushi Onita and the Frontier Martial Arts promotion.
Brandon Thurston reported that MLW’s Fightland, which debuted on Vice following Dark Side of the Ring, scored 40,000 viewers, with 16,000 in 18-49 (0.01). This was headlined by Alex Hammerstone defeating Jacob Fatu for the MLW World Heavyweight title.
Impact Wrestling on AXS scored 111,000 viewers, with 31,000 in 18-49 (0.02). That is slightly down from last week’s 115,000. That show was headlined by Bound for Glory opponents Christian Cage and Josh Alexander teaming up to defeat Ace Austin and Madman Fulton in the main event.
