The Briscoes off GCW, PWG weekend shows due to family medical emergency

The Briscoes have pulled off Saturday’s GCW In Too Deep and Sunday’s PWG Delivering The Goods due to a family medical emergency.

Jay Briscoe tweeted the news Saturday afternoon, revealing that Mark’s pregnant wife was rushed to the hospital earlier in the day. He said doctors are trying to prevent a premature birth, but that both the wife and the unborn child are stable.

One of the world’s top tag teams, the Briscoes were set to face GCW Tag Team Champions BUSSY (Allie Katch & Effy) and the Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner & Matthew Justice) in a three-way tonight before flying cross-country to challenge Aussie Open Sunday for PWG in a highly-anticipated matchup tomorrow.

The two made their TV return to Impact Wrestling this past Thursday, defeating Heath and Rhino to earn a shot at Tag Team Champions Violent by Design at next Saturday’s Under Siege. As of now, it’s too early to know if that match will need to be rescheduled.
