Ric Flair returning to the ring for ‘last match’ this July

Ric Flair’s final match will take place on July 31 from Nashville.

After reports came out recently that Flair was training for an in-ring return, the 73-year-old confirmed to ESPN that his final match will take place on the last night of Starrcast V from the Nashville Fairgrounds. The event will be titled “Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair’s Last Match” and will stream on FITE TV.

“I’m going to walk that aisle one last time to prove once and for all that to be the Man, you’ve got to beat the Man,” Flair said in a statement.

His opponents and possible teammates for the match have not been officially confirmed. According to our own Dave Meltzer, however, Flair could potentially team with FTR against the Rock N Roll Express and a partner on the show.

“He told me it was a secret but the rumor has it, Ric Flair and FTR against The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and somebody,” Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio

“The Rumors Are True! I’m Going To Walk That Aisle, Style And Profile, One Last Time! July 31st! Nashville, Tennessee! Jim Crockett Promotions!” Flair tweeted about his return.

Starrcast V will take place July 29 to 31 from the Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee.
