The situation is said to be due to a breakdown of communication between CMLL and the American independent promotion Full Blown Pro Wrestling out of Texas, who had been sponsoring the visas. Full Blown Pro Wrestling owner Jerry Cadena was contacted by the US Department of Homeland Security regarding the visa applications. They informed him of an issue relating to the visas, although it’s not clear what the issue is. Homeland Security also informed Cadena that he could be accused of fraud if the issue caused the visa applications to be flagged.
CMLL then informed Cadena that they would handle the situation. However, Cadena has not heard back from the promotion since. Cadena has now informed Homeland Security that he is no longer working with CMLL and any agreements he had with the talent have been terminated as of today, February 28.
