PWG Battle of Los Angeles night one results: Opening round matches

Here are results from tonight’s PWG Battle of Los Angeles, the first of two nights at the Globe Theater. All matches that took place were first round matches of the Battle of Los Angles tournament.

• Aramis defeated Rey Horus following a top rope blue thunder bomb.
• Wheeler Yuta defeated Blake Christian. This was originally scheduled to be Jonathan Gresham vs. Davey Richards, but both men pulled out of the tournament.
• Buddy Matthews defeated JONAH after a curbstomp to a chair.
• Daniel Garcia defeated Kevin Blackwood following a piledriver and a choke.
• Lio Rush defeated Jack Cartwheel
• Black Taurus defeated JD Drake
• Alex Shelley defeated Lee Moriarty with a roll up.
• Speedball Mike Bailey defeated PWG World Champion Bandido

Tomorrow will be the second night of the BOLA, with three wrestlers advancing to the final round.

The last PWG Battle of Los Angeles tournament took place back in 2019. Bandido won that year’s tournament, with Jonathan Gresham first eliminating David Starr from the match, then Bandido winning the tournament by pinning Gresham.
