MLW Blood & Thunder TV taping spoilers: Debuts, teased returns, title change

The following are spoilers from Friday’s MLW Blood & Thunder TV taping in Dallas, Texas, that saw several debuts, a title change and a tease of another impending return.

The following matches will air on episodes of Fusion: Alpha following the conclusion of the mini-season of MLW Azteca running now.

PWInsider first reported the results and details.

  • King Muertes defeated Richard Holliday
  • National Openweight Champion Alex Kane defeated Calvin Tankman in a title match

  • The Saito Brothers defeated Budd Heavy and Gnarls Garvin. The Saitos were making their promotional debut.
  • TJP defeated Buddy Matthews. PWInsider noted the finish surprised people backstage as it had been changed during the day to Matthews winning instead of the original plan for TJP to win. Apparently, they went with the original finish due to miscommunication. Matthews was making his promotional debut.
  • KC Navarro defeated Ho Ho Lun
  • Myron Reed defeated Bandido, Matt Cross and Tajiri (ch) in a four-way to win the MLW Middleweight title. Bandido was a surprise announcement.
  • MLW Tag Team Champions 5150 defeated Los Parks in a ladder match to retain the titles
  • Miranda Gordy defeated Rok-C. Both were making their promotional debuts.
  • Jacob Fatu defeated Mads Krugger

There was a tease that Killer Kross will be returning to the company.

Insider noted that former NWA producer and longtime wrestling figure Dave Marquez directed the show.

It also said MLW plans to bring in some Mid-Atlantic legends for their February 26th event in Charlotte, North Carolina.
