Miyu Yamashita off GCW event due to lack of social security number

Miyu Yamashita is out of tonight’s GCW event.
Game Changer Wrestling announced on social media that the Missouri Athletic Commission is refusing to license Yamashita due to not having a social security number, taking her off tonight’s GCW Take a Picture event in St. Louis.
“Despite the fact that she has wrestled in Missouri multiple times, has all relevant & required documents and has a valid work visa, the Missouri Athletic Commision will not license Miyu Yamashita to wrestle today because she does not have a social security number,” GCW wrote on social media.
GCW owner Brett Lauderdale posted a message on social media to stress that the situation wasn’t a storyline.
“I wish this was a storyline or some creative excuse to explain that Miya couldn’t be here today but it’s not,” he wrote. “Very frustrating given that there was a set of tv tapings done in Missouri just over a month ago where nearly a dozen folks without SS #’s were allowed to perform.”
Yamashita was originally set to team with Billie Starkz against GCW Tag Team Champions YDNP. Other matches scheduled include Matt Tremont vs. 2 Tuff Tony for the GCW Ultraviolent title, Effy vs. 2 Cold Scorpio for the GCW Championship, and Masha Slamovich vs. Mickie Knuckles for the JCW Championship.
