Mercedes Mone’s opponent for HOG City of Dreamz revealed
Mercedes Mone’s opponent has been revealed for her first independent show in over a decade.
House of Glory announced on Friday that Mone would take on recently released WWE star Indi Hartwell on their March 15 event City of Dreamz in Jamaica, NY. Mone was first announced for the show last month.
Mone hasn’t wrestled on the independent scene since 2012, just months prior to her signing with WWE. Following her departure in 2022, she wrestled for NJPW before signing with AEW in March of last year. Since her arrival in the company, she has started to accumulate titles including AEW’s TBS Championship, the NJPW Strong Women’s title, and RevPro’s Undisputed British Women’s Championship.
Hartwell was a part of WWE releases that took place back in November. She wrestled her first post-WWE match in Australia earlier this month, defeating Aysha to win the Renegades of Wrestling Women’s Championship. The match with Mone on Saturday will be her first independent match in the US following her release.
