Jon Moxley vs. Blake Christian title match set for The People vs. GCW

Jon Moxley’s next defense of the GCW World Championship has been scheduled. 

Blake Christian will challenge Moxley for the title at The People vs. GCW on July 29. The event is part of Starrcast V and will take place following the Roast of Ric Flair from the Nashville Fairgrounds. It will air live on FITE TV beginning at 10:30 p.m Eastern time.  

Moxley successfully defended his belt against Tony Deppen at GCW You Wouldn’t Understand on Saturday. Christian then came out to confront him after the match. He also called out Moxley on social media last month after the champion was announced for the show. 

“Home state boy calling out the champ,” Christian wrote on Twitter. 

Only one other match is currently scheduled for the show. Joey Janela will face Psycho Clown in singles competition. Bandido and Bussy (Effy & Allie Katch) are advertised to appear as well. 

Moxley has held the title since defeating Matt Cardona at GCW The Art of War Games on September 4, 2021. He has since defended it against Nick Gage, Homicide, AJ Gray, and Deppen.
