Jay Briscoe funeral taking place Sunday, vigil set for tonight


The funeral for the late Jay Briscoe (Jamin Pugh) will take place this Sunday.
Announced Wednesday, it will be held at the Laurel High School gym in Laurel, Delaware, with visitation being held from noon to 1 PM Eastern with the service to follow. The internetment will be private.

Announced on Monday by a non-profit who is representing the family, a candlelight vigil will take place tonight at 7 PM Eastern at the Lee Elliott Worship Center in Laurel.
The 38-year-old Briscoe was killed on Tuesday, January 17th in a head-on car accident that also took the life of the other driver. His two daughters are still in the hospital recovering from injuries suffered during the accident.
Jay’s brother, Mark, will make his AEW debut tonight on Dynamite against Jay Lethal in a match to honor Jay on what would have been his 39th birthday. A further tribute to Jay is also expected on the show after Warner Bros. Discovery lifted their ban on the brothers appearing on AEW TV.
