Jake Atlas arrest video released by TMZ

TMZ released the arrest video from Jake Atlas’ May 2022 arrest for domestic violence on Monday in which the former WWE NXT & AEW wrestler attempted to plead his case by denigrating his partner.

In the video seen below, Atlas (Kenny Marquez) tells the officer that he is “an international trained superstar” and that his partner is a “nobody” before calling him several names and putting him down as a sexual partner.

As the officer responds to an inquiry as to whether he needs backup, Atlas becomes more agitated, saying he has his rights like the officer has his rights. He then put down his partner’s skin color as white, saying that because he is Mexican, “I will do what I need to do to protect myself against you” before saying he wouldn’t like the policemen use his “white power” against him.

As the officer presses him for what happened, Atlas refuses to answer his questions about what happened. Eventually, another officer approaches and Atlas is put into handcuffs.

The domestic violence case against Atlas was dropped in late-June and issued a formal apology in July, saying that he was checking into an outpatient facility to deal with mental health and substance abuse issues.

He has not wrestled since tearing his ACL in a match with Adam Cole on AEW Rampage in January. He is not under contract with AEW and is a free agent.
