Nick Aldis signs contract extension with NWA

Two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis has signed a new contract with the promotion.

Aldis announced during an appearance on Busted Open Radio on Wednesday that he’s re-signed with the NWA. The announcement was made in conjunction with the NWA unveiling its new All Access service on Fite TV. The All Access plan costs $49.99 per year and includes all six NWA pay-per-views for 2022, episodes of NWA Power and NWA USA, and Fite-only special events.

It was also announced that NWA Power will return to YouTube with the launch of the All Access service. After episodes premiere for All Access subscribers at 6:05 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesdays, they’ll be uploaded to the NWA and Fite TV’s YouTube channels for free at 6:05 p.m. Eastern on Fridays.

“I have just extended my agreement with the NWA, I have just re-signed,” Aldis revealed on Busted Open Radio. “So, it’s a good day in terms of looking ahead to a great new year for the NWA and for me.” Further details about the contract weren’t disclosed.

Aldis said that, from the first conversation he ever had with Billy Corgan about the NWA, he’s had nothing but respect from Corgan, more so than any other person he’s ever worked for during his career. Aldis said that goes a long way, and he can’t wait to see what he and Corgan come up with going forward.

Aldis’ first reign with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship lasted from December 2017 to September 2018. His second reign began in October 2018 and ended in August 2021. Trevor Murdoch is the current champion.
