Chelsea Green wins NWA Women’s Invitational Cup at Empower
Chelsea Green has won the NWA Women’s Invitational, setting up tomorrow’s Women’s Championship match.
The last two participants in the ring were Green and Tootie Lynn, a hometown favorite. The finish had Green go for the unprettier, but Lynn countered it with a backslide. Green connected with a ripcord elbow then pinned Lynn with the unprettier to win the match. With that win, Green will now challenge Kamille for the NWA Women’s title at the NWA 73 show that will take place on Sunday.
Other participants in the match included Bianca Carelli, Debbie Malenko, Lady Frost, Jamie Senegal, Jennacide, Kiera Hogan, Masha Slamovich, and Thunder Kitty.
The full card for Sunday’s show is the following:
- Nick Aldis vs. Trevor Murdoch for the NWA World Heavyweight title – if Murdoch loses, his career is over
- Kamille vs. Chelsea Green for the NWA Women’s title
- Chris Adonis vs. James Storm for the NWA National title
- Aron Stevens and JR Kratos vs. Bestia 666 and Mecha Wolf 450 for the NWA World Tag Team titles
- Thom Latimer vs. Crimson vs. Tim Storm in a “Brawl in the Lou” match
- 12-man gauntlet battle royal to determine the number one contender for the NWA National title
