Burke Invitational to return at NWA 74

The Burke Invitational will be returning at August’s NWA 74. 

The 10-woman gauntlet-style match will take place on the first night of the two-night pay-per-view with the winner receiving a shot at the NWA Women’s Championship on the second night. 

Chelsea Green won the first Burke Invitational at last year’s NWA Empower, unsuccessfully challenging Women’s Champion Kamille the following night at NWA 73. A year later, Kamille remains the Women’s titleholder.

NWA 74 is scheduled for Saturday, August 27 & Sunday, August 28 from the Chase Ballroom in St. Louis.

Here’s the current lineup.

Saturday:

  • 10-team battle royale for the vacant NWA United States Tag Team titles
  • NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Homicide defends against Kerry Morton
  • Burke Invitational for a NWA Women’s title shot

Sunday:

  • NWA World Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch defends against Tyrus
  • NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille vs. Burke Invitational winner

Date yet not announced:

  • Bully Ray vs. Mike Knox in a tables match
