Bea Priestley announced for Stardom 5STAR Grand Prix
Bea Priestley (formerly known as Blair Davenport in WWE) is returning to Stardom.
She has been announced for this year’s 5Star Grand Prix. It will be her second time competing in the round-robin tournament after narrowly missing out on the finals in 2019.
Stardom held a press conference on Saturday to announce the participants for this year’s event. Thirty-two wrestlers will be split into four groups of eight, marking the largest field in the tournament’s history. The top three in each group advance to the knockout stage, with each block winner receiving a bye to the semifinals.
Priestley sent in a video that was played at today’s press conference announcing her return.
She said:
“Hello, this is the top gaijin, Bea Priestley, and I’m entering myself into this year’s Stardom 5STAR Grand Prix. Now, win or lose, I’m very aware of how tough these tournaments can be, but I’m going to show how every one of those joshi girls is shopai, shopai, shopai, shopai, shopai. And that Bea will forever be ichiban. See you soon, Japan.”
The tournament kicks off on July 23 and concludes on August 23.
