Alex Hammerstone returns to MLW at Fightland, joins WTF

Alex Hammerstone is back in MLW, although not in storyline.
After publicly requesting his release from the promotion last month, Hammerstone appeared at the end of MLW Fightland on Saturday night at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.
In storyline, MLW granted Hammerstone’s release, allowing him to sign with Mister Saint Laurent’s World Titan Federation (WTF), a faction of “Superstars” looking to re-brand MLW.
Following the show’s main event, WTF members Matt Cardona, Steph de Lander, and our own Tom Lawlor hit the ring to attack Alex Kane and a brawl with the Bomaye Fight Club ensued. The lights went out and when they came back on, Hammerstone was in the ring wearing a WTF tank top. Hammerstone then attacked Kane and Fatu.
The show closed with WTF standing tall in the ring and Cardona holding up the MLW World Heavyweight title belt.
“MLW.com can confirm that Hammer was in fact granted his release from MLW this week… but no one expected him to sign instantly with Saint Laurent’s World Titan Federation and return tonight to crash FIGHTLAND,” reads an MLW press release.
