Jon Moxley unable to compete at Wrestling Revolver event

AEW star Jon Moxley wasn’t able to compete in his scheduled match for Wrestling Revolver on Sunday night.

Moxley was supposed to face Gringo Loco in a lucha street fight at Sunday’s Revolver Redemption event in Dayton, Ohio. But Rich Swann ended up replacing Moxley in the match. Moxley appeared in front of the crowd and announced that doctors would not let him wrestle on the show. Gringo Loco defeated Swann in the match.

After getting the win, Gringo Loco accused Moxley of being scared to face him.

Moxley hasn’t wrestled since suffering a concussion against Rey Fenix at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 20. Moxley is scheduled to return to the ring at Dynamite Title Tuesday this week, facing Fenix in an AEW International Championship rematch.

In their match at Grand Slam, Fenix defeated Moxley to win the International title. The title change wasn’t originally planned to happen, but Moxley called an audible after getting hurt.

Moxley appeared at two Wrestling Revolver shows on Sunday and also took part in a meet and greet. Moxley and Renee Paquette presented a trophy to Billie Starkz for winning Wrestling Revolver’s Women’s Grand Prix.
