AEW to decide two top World title contenders at Double or Nothing


The two top contenders to the AEW World Championship will be determined on Saturday.
On the finale of AEW’s Road to Double or Nothing video series, it was announced that the top contenders for the title will be established at Double or Nothing this Saturday. The winner of the Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho main event from Double or Nothing will face the winner of the Casino Battle Royale at a later date to decide the first AEW World Champion.
AEW hasn’t announced when the World title match will be taking place.
It was previously noted that the Casino Battle Royale winner would get the first shot at the AEW World Champion.
The Casino Battle Royale will be part of the hour-long pre-show for Double or Nothing, which begins at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday. There will be 21 entrants in the match, with it starting with five wrestlers in the ring. Five more will enter every three minutes after that, then the 21st participant will enter on their own.
Shawn Spears (formerly Tye Dillinger in WWE), Jimmy Havoc, Billy Gunn, MJF, Michael Nakazawa, Jungle Boy, Glacier, Sonny Kiss, Joey Janela, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Brian Pillman Jr., Sunny Daze, Dustin Thomas, Marq Quen, Isaiah Kassidy, and Luchasaurus have been confirmed as entrants for the battle royal.
