WWE NXT’s Yulisa Leon undergoes surgery

Yulisa Leon has undergone surgery for a suspected knee injury. 

Leon told her tag team partner, Valentina Feroz, on the September 13 episode of NXT that she will be out of action for nine months. During the segment, she said “it’s torn” to her partner but did not specify her exact injury. Leon was wearing a brace around her right knee at the time. 

On Saturday, Leon posted video of her going in for surgery to Instagram

“This is my first surgery and I can tell that in every hard moment I’ve been through and every tear I’ve shed in this time, I feel more protected and loved than ever and that’s why I want to thank again to each person who has sent me messages of strength and support. , you are making this process so much easier with all your love and positivity! I am sure that this stage will bring a completely new Yulisa ready to continue leaving her heart above a ring and of course dancing in the pure style of Yulisa Leon your favorite Latina next to my war partner and friend Valentina Feroz -Yulisa León”

Leon debuted for WWE on an episode of 205 Live taped on October 19, 2021. She last wrestled on the August 2 edition of NXT, when she partnered with Feroz in a four-way match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
