WWE reveals full NXT Global Heritage Invitational field


WWE has revealed the full field of eight wrestlers for the NXT Global Heritage Invitational.
The company unveiled the final two competitors in the round-robin tournament on Sunday, with Axiom & Akira Tozawa joining the already announced Tyler Bate, Joe Coffey, Butch, Duke Hudson, Charlie Dempsey, and Nathan Frazer.
Axiom, Butch, Bate, and Dempsey will be in Group A, while Tozawa, Coffey, Hudson, and Frazer will comprise Group B.
The Global Heritage Invitational will begin on this week’s WWE NXT episode. The tournament winner will face Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup at the No Mercy pay-per-view on Saturday, September 30.
The tournament rules are as follows:
- There will be two groups with four wrestlers in each group in a round-robin style tournament.
- Matches have a 12-minute time limit.
- Pinfall and submission victories are worth two points. A draw will earn each wrestler one point.
- The winner of Group A faces the winner of Group B on Tuesday, September 26 and the winner of that match will challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup on Saturday, September 30 at NXT No Mercy.
